About us

Founded in 2021, Tres Rascals Oy specializes in the food and beverage industry. The company, owned by a trio of friends—Alexander Törnroth, Eeva Torniainen, and Peter Torniainen—lives by the mantra that good food paired with great drinks makes life enjoyable. So far, our ventures include Kakola Brewing Co, Perso Soda Co, and Restaurant KBC Taproom.

In May 2025, we are opening an intimate summer restaurant, offering a relaxed bistro experience centered around small, seasonal plates and a thoughtfully curated wine selection. Inspired by the freshest local ingredients, the menu will change frequently to reflect the best of the season. Operating from May to the end of August, the restaurant works primarily on a reservation-only basis, complemented by the charm of a shared summer terrace.

We are looking for a chef for our new summer restaurant opening in May 2025 in the center of Turku.

CHEF

We are seeking to add a Chef to our passionate team. The ideal candidate will be driven by a love for local ingredients, possess a flair for small plates and thrive in the heat of the kitchen. You will be responsible for curating and executing a menu that reflects the best of what the season and local markets have to offer.

The chef position available is full-time for the summer season of 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a bistro, farm-to-table or seasonal kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary creativity and a passion for working with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.
  • Ability to design and adapt an evolving menu.
  • Teamplayer with strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work during evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a rotating, seasonal menu focused on small, shareable plates using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
  • Collaborate closely with local farmers and producers to select the best seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and consistency in all dishes, maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and relationships with local suppliers.
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless guest experiences.

As we continue to grow, we’re on the hunt for a Marketing & Digital Content Manager to join our team. This temporary, part-time role runs from April 2025 to January 2026 (approx. 24–32 hours/week, depending on your profile). Please note, this position requires presence in Turku.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute strategic communication plans.
  • Manage social media: content creation, scheduling and community engagement.
  • Organize and promote events like Kirkkopuiston terassi, Kesärauha, SOMMAR bistro events and KBC Taproom parties.
  • Bring fresh ideas to elevate the KBC brand and beyond.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in social media management and content creation.
  • A creative mindset with a flair for eye-catching, engaging content.
  • A love for food, drinks, and urban culture.
  • Strong communication skills in Finnish and English.
  • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and solve problems with a smile.
